I recently mentioned the awesomeness that is my wife’s buffalo chicken wing dip. Here is the recipe, for anyone who is interested.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 9 oz hot chicken wing sauce
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 12 ounces blue cheese dressing
- 1 bag Tostito corn chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place chicken in a pot with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook 25 minutes, until chicken juices run clear.
- Drain liquid from pot and shred chicken.
- Mix wing sauce and butter into pot with chicken. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.
- Spread cream cheese over the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Pour chicken mixture over cream cheese.
- Top with dressing.
- Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until hot and bubbly.
- Serve with Tostitos.

I love this stuff….!
Yeah, it’s mad good.
By the way, I *really* liked your chili cheese dip a few weeks ago, too.
Man, I’m eating way too much dip lately!
Wow. This is like the first post you’ve made in a century.
Not much for dip, but I love me my chicken wings.
I know, right? I suck as a blogger. I’ve got a list of post topics I want to work on, but I keep doing other things instead.
Where do you get your wings? I’ve been searching for the best local wing spot… Dano’s and Stefano’s are both great, and Buffalo Wild Wings does pretty well too.
Well, I love Stefano’s and Buffalo Wild Wings. But many times, I’ll make them at home. We have a large bag of frozen chicken wings, I pop some in the oven and make a simple wing sauce by melting some butter and adding Frank’s sauce. I don’t measure how much of anything I use. I just kind of “wing” it. Haha.
LOL!
When Diana and I were in college, we were the cooks for the dinner and weekend shifts at the school. When we’d have pizza and wings on the menu, I’d deep fry the wings and use the same butter/Frank’s recipe you mentioned. I’m not sure how much I used, but it always turned out pretty good.
Laura Biolsi gave us a great recipe for homemade fried chicken nuggets, and Diana and I love dipping them in the buffalo sauce. Good stuff, but really bad for you. Baking the regular wings in the oven is definitely a better idea.
Now I’m hungry…
